Ee Lin Chan – bio
Ee Lin Chan has over 23 years experience in the financial industry, and is an experienced trust and estate planner with wide Asia-Pacific expertise. She specialises in providing highly tailored multi-jurisdictional succession and estate planning solutions for high net worth individuals and their families, typically using structures such as trusts, charitable foundations, companies, partnerships, private trust companies and various bespoke insurance policies and wrappers.
Most recently, Ee Lin was Head of Wealth Planning at RBS Coutts private bank based in Singapore covering South Asia. She launched and headed the bank’s philanthropy advisory service in Asia to advise clients on effective gifting strategies, and advised non-profit organisations wishing to set-up in Singapore. She won the RBS Wealth Management Excellence award in 2008 from a global field of 600 nominations.
Prior to that, she was CEO of Clariden Trust Company (Singapore); and Asia Head of International Estate Planning at ABN AMRO private banking where she built up the N Asia and S Asia teams from scratch. Ee Lin also has a strong business management and risk management background, having been Asia Business Manager at Bankers Trust Company and having spent 8 years at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Ee Lin is a full member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and previously served on several sub-committees of STEP Singapore. She is the immediate Past President of the Financial Women’s Association and still serves on the Board as Assistant Secretary.
Married with one son, Ee Lin graduated from Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business.
